5 Ways to Stay Productive While Isolated

Everyone gets into a rut, once in a while. Even the most successful entrepreneurs, promoting the lifestyle of waking up 4 am in the morning everyday, and grinding until midnight will eventually need a break. People will have periods of being unproductive. Some of us call it a burnout, a period of no motivation or the willingness to accomplish even the most simple tasks. But, I like to call it a lack of inspiration.

Whether we know it or not, we have a sense of boredom inside when we hit rock bottom. In other words, the moment when you're in a rut. You're not motivated to complete any of the task on your agenda because you feel uninspired.

Even if you do blame your burnout on the so called lack of caffeine or the lack of sleep, you might be in a rut because nothing excites you anymore. That could be work related, relationship issues or even a sense of loss in your personal growth. Here the 5 ways to stay productive while isolated.

1. Write Down Three Priority Goals

Let's face it, everyone like to write a long to do list, just to look busy and feel accomplished. I highly suggest that you only write down the three main priority goals that you need to do on that day. Even when you have a millions things to do.

You'll feel less overwhelmed and slowly more confident in your accomplishments. It's important to only complete the essential tasks. You can use productivity tools to schedule your appointments and events on Google Calendar. and write all your reminder on OneNote. It's a great app that automatically saves all your daily writing. 2. Time Block Your Tasks

Making enough room in your day isn't as complicated as it seems, for most people, it's doable if they time block their tasks. What I'm saying is that for each task you need to get done, make sure to assign a specific amount time on that particular task, so you don't get interrupted by any distractions, while being focused on the task at hand.

You can get a lot of things done, if you prioritize your list of tasks, and spend less time procrastinating on not doing anything, besides feeling overwhelmed by everything.

3. 20 Min Power Nap

This can be anytime of the day. By just taking a 20 minute, you're staying productive in the long run. It's long been proven that by letting your brain rest for a short amount of time, you'll be more well rested, hence making you have a boost of energy because you're rewiring your brain to concentrate on new exciting things, because it's been given a chance to rest during the day.

4. Rest Your Brain with a Mindful Activity

When I say to rest your brain, I did not mean turn on the TV and binge watch a series on Netflix. No, what I mean is that you should use your 30-50 minutes break wisely by choosing a mindful activity that will unwind your brain. It can be something simple like reading an interesting book of fun facts , following a meditation app or using the time to write down your worries in a bullet journal.

5. Stop all distractions

A small distraction, as simple as a phone call from a friend can ruin your productivity. When you're focusing on accomplishing a task at hand, you shouldn't even bother scrolling through social media such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or even Tik Tok. You'll get lured in a black hole and end up procrastinating on the task. I recommend downloading an app that blocks you from using your phone, so it gives you three hours at least, to make time accomplishing on your most important task.

I recommended downloading an app like Self Control. It's an app that lets you set your own distractions such as blocking specific websites or your email account for a specific amount of time. It can go up to 24 hours max!
